BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF
THIS EDUCATIONAL GAME:
This whole game is based on learning techniques and creating new designs based on 'accidental choices'. Both beginners and advanced painters are forced to get to the point of face painting and put all experience aside. Everyone, both beginners and experienced painters start from same equal point of no return and must support each other in this game to get the best results. This is done in three rounds:
ROUND 1: Executive Round
The game indicates the beginning of the session as an example and takes the first 'sensitive' in order to show that this game is for everyone. Everything starts from accidentally brought to us by a stack of playing cards.
EXAMPLE:
Cards drawn: Princess, red / green, brown, circle. The excersise is to create a princess with only red and green as base colours (besides the allowed white), brown brushwork on top (additional black and white are allowed) and which circles are the key element to be used. It is of minor importance if your final design is a success. It is important to learn to use the element and/or new techniques and/or place on the face where these are used.
ROUND 2: Round Analysis
Each participant indicates here what they like or dislike in the facepainting (from smallest details up to the full facepainting) and suppley a reason why. Other participants may not agree on the view of the painter and can approve or dissaprove. With dissaproval they supply a potential solution. This first analysis has to be a communicative instructive discussion. This usually gives wonderful ideas about new characters and effects. You have to experience this! This is a point that really creates NEW designs.
All ideas are welcome. Advanced rely on their experience, beginners search in other domains of facepainting as they are not experienced. This creates new techniques!
ROUND 3: Further Analysis Round
A Game blog opens on the internet with special password. Only effective participant in this game can log on and nobody else! The pictures will be put on the blog and you can continue for a month to work on the ideas from Round 2. Insert the new works/pictures in the theme for further results, give comments, share new ideas about it, etc...
Olivier Zegers himself will visit the blog and share his ideas with us. His incredible knowledge and experience provide an additional input which is important for everyone.
DON'T MISS THESE GAMES!
